Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool goes directly to the outside company that operates it. That provider processes the query and supplies results. We do not retain or log those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We keep an email or contact submission as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive certain technical facts whenever a visitor loads a page:
- Dates and times of page views
- Pages opened and approximate time spent on them
- Device category and operating system
- Browser type and version
- Referring website, when available
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. They help show how visitors move through the site, including popular pages and exit points. Analytics providers combine that traffic information. A browser can block cookies, though doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Route search requests to the applicable partner
- Diagnose and correct technical problems
- Maintain site availability and performance
- Understand which content visitors use
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Nueces County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case information. It explains where Nueces County records are kept and how official clerks, trial courts, and re:SearchTX provide access. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party records.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information entered there is governed by the provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each partner controls its retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Texas clerks, courts, re:SearchTX, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may follow activity across websites to select ads. That activity occurs through their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
- Advertising networks serving material on the pages
- Search providers processing a submitted query
- Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards protect collected data. No internet service is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a person under 18. If we learn that a minor submitted such data, we will remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Texas privacy and consumer-protection laws may provide rights concerning personal data. Subject to legal limits, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal data we hold
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek deletion of eligible information
- Decline certain forms of processing where the law permits
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. A changed version will be posted here with its new effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
Effective date: September 7, 2026
